Here are my views on the education and culture of the three cities:
Hong Kong:
Since Hong Kong is a former colony, Hong Kong's education system has roughly followed the system of the UK. At the higher education levels, both British and American systems exist. Hong Kong is frequently described as a place where east meets west. Different people from different places with different cultural backgrounds create the diverse culture.
Singapore:
There are four state universities in Singapore and this country has a high literacy rate. The same with Hong Kong, Singapore was once a colony. It was once a part of Malaysia as well. So the diversity of the culture is obvious. Its official languages are English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. Now, Singapore is striving to promote itself as a centre for arts and culture to become "gateway between the East and West".
Beijing:
Beijing is an ancient capital with a long history. It is also home to lots of colleges and universities, including several famous universities of international stature. It is widely regarded as cultural centre in China. It has lots of old architectures, e.g. the Forbidden City. Peking Opera is well-known throughout the national capital. It is commonly lauded as one of the highest achievements of Chinese culture.
